[CDM-4000BT] - FAQ
Does my CDM-4000BT work with my computer?
Yes and no....
- The CDM-4000BT is not a MIDI capable device. It can not control DJ software applications.
- It can however be used for playback and recording with a computer via the RCA line inputs on the rear. Auxiliary cables are required
(The USB ports on the CDM-4000BT are for playback from USB flash drives only, IS NOT A USB INTERFACE)
Does the microphone volume knob control both microphone inputs?
Yes, the CDM-4000BT has 1/4" microphone inputs on front and rear of units. Both can be used at same time and share same volume knob.
Can I use the CDM-4000BT with digital vinyl systems like Serato DJ?
No. Unfortunately, the CDM-4000BT does not work with digital vinyl systems.
Can I connect turntables to the CDM-4000BT?
The CDM-4000BT does not have a phono preamp on its inputs, so it requires line level sources. If your turntable has a line level output it will work with the CDM-4000BT. If your turntable does not have a line level output, you can still connect it to the CDM-4000BT but you will need to purchase an additional phono preamp.
What are the USB ports for?
The CDM-4000BT is a standalone media player and will play your digital music files from connected USB drives.
